About
Thirteen months from first commit to production payment flows.
Cofounder and CTO at Codedevs, building production web and AI products from Lagos — escrow-backed payments, WhatsApp commerce, and AI agents that show their reasoning before they act. Four hackathon podiums, including first place at the Africa's Talking BuildWithAI Pan-African finals.
How I got here
I started writing code in August 2025. Thirteen months later I was shipping subscription billing against a live payment provider, a WhatsApp commerce channel driven by model function calling, and the escrow and dispute flows that decide whether a stranger's money is safe.
That slope is the most honest thing I can tell you about how I work. I learn by building something that has to survive contact with a real constraint — a telecom protocol that only allows short sessions, a payment webhook that arrives twice, a buyer who has no reason to trust a seller they found in a feed.
I build for the environment I am actually in. Bandwidth drops, devices are limited, and a lot of commerce runs over WhatsApp rather than a web app. Designing for that is not a limitation to apologise for; it is the interesting part of the problem.
I am 16, based in Lagos, Nigeria, and working while preparing for university. I mention it because it is the context for everything above, not because it should change how the work is judged.
Experience
Cofounder & CTO · Codedevs Technology Limited
A Lagos software company helping African businesses adopt AI. I lead technical architecture across the product portfolio and drive the engineering on Twizrr, our social commerce platform.
Science Tutor — WAEC & JAMB preparation · Independent
Teaching Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics at secondary level, and designing quizzes and revision material around exam patterns. Explaining a hard idea to someone who does not yet have the vocabulary for it is the same skill as writing a good interface.
Education
University of Lagos — Systems Engineering
JAMB UTME score 294. Preparing for POST-UTME.
GOMYCODE — Software Development Bootcamp with AI Skills
React, Next.js, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, REST API design and project structure.
Senior Secondary School Certificate (WAEC)
Science track: Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics.

Common questions
- Who is Yusuf Saheed?
- Yusuf Saheed is a software engineer based in Lagos, Nigeria, and cofounder and CTO at Codedevs Technology Limited. He builds production web and AI products — escrow-backed payment flows, commerce over WhatsApp, and AI agents that show their reasoning before they act.
- What does Yusuf Saheed build?
- He works across the stack in TypeScript and Python. On Twizrr, a Nigerian social commerce platform, he owns subscription billing, the WhatsApp commerce channel driven by model function calling, and the order escrow and dispute flows. He is also the sole author of Atlas, a data change intelligence agent that traces the downstream impact of a schema change before anyone approves it.
- What has Yusuf Saheed won?
- Four hackathon podium finishes: first place at the Africa's Talking BuildWithAI Pan-African finals with Swifta, first place at BuildWithAI Lagos with DialAI, second at the 234 AI Hackathon with WIZZA, and third at an Africa's Talking monthly hackathon with Hardware-OS.
- What technologies does Yusuf Saheed use?
- TypeScript, JavaScript and Python; React and Next.js on the front end; Node.js, NestJS and Express on the back end; PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Redis for data; and the Gemini, OpenAI and Claude APIs for AI features, including function calling and agent architecture.
